Phoenix Glass Studio is offering studio tours and glass classes for your home school or group. Susan Gott, artist and former Hillsborough County, Art Educator will customize the educational program for your small group. We can adjust to your lesson plan, age group or direction of study. All programs include a glass blowing or casting demonstrations, discussions about GLASS, how we make ART, a studio and gallery tour.

GLASS ART, Glass Blowing, Hirtory, Science and Fun!

Susan Gott, artist and former Hillsborough County, Art Educator will customize the educational program for your small group. We can adjust to your lesson plan, age group or direction of study. All programs include a glass blowing or casting demonstrations, discussions about GLASS, how we make ART, a studio and gallery tour.

The Following Art Focused Programs can be modified for your group:

Glass Art Overview Lesson: Meet the Artists and Studio Tour Fun, Blowing Glass Demonstrations and discussions with a few Fun surprises and photo opportunities! $150 to $200 for 1.5 hour long session

Make Your Own Paperweight Glass Sculpting: for a Small Group; Each student can create a their own glass paperweight. Following CDC Guidelines, You will learn the basics of Glassmaking and “Make Your Own Glass Paperweight”, choose your own colors as you create, One-on-One with the assistance of a professional Glassblower. Mini-Workshops help you learn and expand your knowledge of the art of glass. $59 per person for group of six or more

Glass Art thru History Lesson: Discussions and Demos will focus on the History of Glass. The history of glass follows the history of Civilization; sailors crossing the Mediterranean discovered glass, Egyptians learned to make the first core-formed bottles and gems, the blow pipe was invented during Roman times, Italians discovered Crystalo during the Renaissance, the Bottle Making changed in the Industrial Revolution to the Contemporary Glass Art Movement of today. $150 to $200 per group

Glass and Science Lesson: Discussions and Demos focus on the Melting of Glass, Chemistry of Glass, Insulating Materials and space-age Materials, Surface Tension of Glass, Price Ruppert Drops, Annealing and Cooling of the Glass, Centrifugal Force and Gravity. $150 to $200 per group

Glass Casting for a Small Group:  Each student can create a glass sand casting; They will be able to press their hand in sand and we will cast the impression in glass! $69 per person, small group rate for 8 or more
