All About Tampa Bay
Let’s dive into the wonders of our local area in All About Tampa Bay! Campers will embark on a fun-filled exploration of everything that makes Tampa Bay unique. They’ll learn about the legendary pirate José Gaspar and the folklore behind the Gasparilla Festival, even creating their own pirate flags for a mini parade. Campers will explore the geography of Tampa Bay by building 3D maps, discovering the bridges, rivers, and landmarks that make our area special. We’ll also celebrate the rich Spanish influence on the area, from the historical Ybor City to local traditions, with activities that explore how Spanish culture shaped Tampa’s history. Campers will celebrate our city’s love for sports by learning about Tampa’s iconic teams like the Buccaneers, Lightning, and Rays, and enjoy sports-themed games. To top it off, they’ll dive into the local marine life of Tampa Bay, creating sea-inspired crafts and learning how we can help protect our waters. This week is a true celebration of the history, culture, and natural beauty of our hometown!
Discovery courses are perfect for our youngest campers ages 4-7. Come join us for a time of discovery as we dive into theme-based projects and activities that explore all aspects of STEAM: Science and Nature, Technology, Engineering, Art, Music, Movement, More! Campers will engage in interesting experiments, crafts, and games that engage their curiosity and critical thinking.

Who: Campers between the ages of 4 and 7 (We offer more camps for ages 8-14)
What: Project-based, hands-on, STEAM-focused summer camps
Where: Apollo Academy in Hyde Park (1309 W Swann Ave Tampa, FL 33606) 8 weeks of summer camps from June 16th to August 8th
When: Camps are 8:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday; Half-day options available. Aftercare until 5pm is available for an additional cost.
