At Barrett School of Music, all of our lessons are taught at our students’ homes or online, with the focus on the student's goals and preferences!
The Brandon Ballet Pre-Professional Training Program is unique in that each dancer is provided with individual attention, college and career guidance, along with their daily instruction in technique, pointe, variations, Pilates and other various classes designed to support their individual goals. Our Assistant Artistic Director, Rehearsal Director, and select Guest Teachers will mentor each participant providing a holistic approach to educating each dancer. The program will provide the following structure and educational components: Program structure, mentoring, career guidance, academic excellence, personal marketing and promotion, community outreach, strength training and conditioning.
We offer live and interactive online classes of chess, piano, Rubik's Cube, guitar, mathematics, abacus, public speaking, creative writing, yoga, Python programming, Scratch coding, physics, chemistry, and language classes (Spanish, German, French)
Classes are structured, but not rigid so that children can channel their physical energy, while learning to socialize with other students in a safe and fun environment. For our Preschool program ages 18month – 5 yrs, they have their own side of the gym with mini-sized equipment to fit their needs. They usually focus on 2-3 events each week with a few fun theme weeks around holidays and such! Our Recreational Gymnastics classes ages 6 and up focus on 2 main gymnastics events per class along with conditioning and stretching. The program is designed to follow a progression of age appropriate skills and you can join in anytime. If you have a student brand new to gymnastics, they will start in one of our Beginner 1 classes to get a solid foundation of skills and terms on all 4 gymnastics events.
The Academy is the home of The Tampa Bay Triple Threat Theatre, The Universal Movement Performing Arts Company and the Classical Ballet of Tampa. There are a variety of disciplines and levels provided for all ages from recreational to those wanting to pursue the arts as a career. Opportunities for our students to showcase their talents throughout the year is abundant and ranges from Ballet and Musical Theater Productions to community outreach presentations and events.
Spend Summer on Stage! We offer 2 Main Stage Plays and 20+ Drama, Dance, and Fandom Camps with fun themes like Encanto, Harry Potter, and Princess Kitten Ballet. Plus, 3 Musical Theater Productions!
Through our service of teaching dance and theatre we strive to provide exceptional instruction and leadership to our students. While striving to instill the importance of etiquette and manners, we also focus on good self-esteem and positive body image.Dance and Music programs avaiable.
Impact Arts, the 501c3 nonprofit that runs Texas Arts Project, offers a multitude of private lessons, prescreen packages, and even in-school workshops. From vocal lessons to interview coaching, we offer incredible training by industry professionals.
