Watch with Catherine Labonté live on YouTube April 15 at 1pm EDT.
In this demonstration from 2019, Catherine unveiled a new, never-before-seen glass animal–a penguin–during a guest artist demonstration in the Amphitheater Hot Shop.
This penguin, named Pierre, has since gone on to become a social media sensation in his ongoing adventures around The Corning Museum of Glass while it’s closed. If you’ve been following Pierre, this is a great opportunity to get to know more about the maker behind the penguin! And, if that wasn’t cool enough, the demo’s narrator and Museum gaffer Catherine Ayers will also be on hand to provide additional insights and perspective to viewers.
April 15, 2020 1:00pm to 3:15pm
