Teens for Trees was dreamed up by members of the Urban Forest Working Group and will be put on in partnership by: UF/IFAS Extension Pinellas County's Natural Resources Agent, Lara Milligan; City of Largo's Park Superintendent, Philip Christman; City of Tarpon Springs's Arborist, Shannon Brewer; and Pinellas County's Urban Forester, Carolyn Cheatham Rhodes. Each day, participants will hear from one of these professionals, learning about what they do in the office and in the field. As part of each day, participants will learn a real-world skill necessary for these professionals to do their job, allowing for practice and application. A nationally-award winning environmental education curriculum by Project Learning Tree will also be incorporated throughout each day for hands-on activities and learning.
