Spirit of Conservation Day - Tampa Bay History Center

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 07/10/2021
Considered by many to be one of the most successful of Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal programs, the Civilian Conservation Corps employed millions of young men on environmental projects during the Great Depression. In nine years, they planted more than three billion trees and constructed trails and shelters in more than 800 parks, including at Chinsegut Hill. Join us for Spirit of Conservation Day at Chinsegut Hill as we explore the history and legacy of the CCC.
