This program provides structured, project-based instruction in introductory game design, logic, and digital creation using the Roblox development environment. Students learn how interactive games are designed by building and modifying their own Roblox experiences through guided, age-appropriate instruction.
Throughout the program, students complete instructor-led projects that introduce core concepts such as 3D building, player interaction, game hazards, collectibles, and basic game systems. Students learn how game elements respond to player actions and how rules and behaviors are used to create engaging gameplay.
Projects include:
Basic Building, introducing 3D design and spatial reasoning
Marble Mania, focusing on movement, physics, and player control
Hazards, teaching cause-and-effect through obstacles and challenges
Pets, introducing interactive objects and simple game systems
Arcade Games, combining multiple elements into a playable experience
While no prior Roblox coding experience is required, students benefit from guided instruction, hands-on practice, and instructor support throughout the program. Instructors adjust pacing, provide individualized assistance, and help students build on their existing skills so all learners can progress confidently.
Instruction emphasizes logical thinking, problem-solving, following multi-step directions, and creative design within a structured learning environment.
