Bugs! Bugs! And more bugs! This week is all about our tiny local friends as campers dive into the world of native insects, hardworking pollinators, and the essential roles they play in keeping our planet healthy. Campers will discover how bees contribute to the food we eat, search for native bugs outdoors, build a cozy ladybug habitat, and explore the wonders of insect science through hands‑on experiments. We’ll also highlight the vital role butterflies play in their ecosystems. Throughout the week, every child will have the chance to release a butterfly—weather permitting—and meet our insect and reptile ambassador animals.
