This summer presents special challenges to parents, including keeping younger kids engaged. Here’s a fun, free way to learn at home during summer 2020. Enroll your child in the St. Louis Fed’s Personal Finance Virtual Summer Camp.
Who: Children in grades 3-5 and 6-8.
What: Through videos, Q&As and online modules, your elementary or middle school student will discover and apply essential personal finance concepts, including:
- How money works
- How to evaluate everyday decisions
- How savings and credit are used
When: This complimentary camp is open any time May 20 to Aug. 14. It is designed to last a couple of hours each day, Monday-Friday, for one week. Econ Lowdown automatically tracks your child’s progress, and you may follow along.
How to enroll: Visit www.econlowdown.org/student. Choose the Google Log In button and enter your child’s Google credentials. (If they do not have a Google account, you may use yours.) You’ll see an option to join a classroom.
