Minecraft Modding Camp – Beginner to Intro Level
In this hands-on Minecraft Modding camp, students will learn how real game developers modify Minecraft by creating their own custom mods using professional tools. Over the course of five days, students will design, build, and test their own creations while learning core coding and logic concepts in a fun, structured environment.
Students will work through a series of guided projects that include creating custom creatures, tools, weapons, ores, potion effects, and game behaviors. Along the way, they will learn how to control how items work, how creatures behave, what loot is dropped, and how different game events trigger actions in the world.
Projects include:
Designing a custom creature with unique behaviors and abilities
Creating a power ore that can be mined and used in crafting
Forging a custom sword with special attributes
Building a custom slingshot and tools
Programming procedures that control game logic
Adding potion effects and loot tables to enhance gameplay
This camp is ideal for beginners and students new to Minecraft modding. No prior coding experience is required. Students will gain confidence, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of how games are built — all while having fun creating content they can proudly show off.
