Gallery Readiness: Workshop for Artists

Creating exceptional artwork is only part of building a successful career. Today's galleries seek artists who also demonstrate professionalism and understand how to play their role well.

Join Browne Art for a professional development workshop introducing the Browne Art Artist Matrix, a framework developed to help artists better understand the criteria galleries, curators, and collectors use when evaluating artists for representation, exhibition, and collection.

Through lecture, real-world examples, and generous Q&A, attendees will gain insights from a curator and gallery owner on how she prepares artists to become ‘’gallery-ready.’’

Whether you're seeking your first exhibition opportunity or working toward long-term gallery representation, this workshop will provide practical guidance for building the professional art career that you imagine.

Through exhibitions, artist advisory, collector education, and cultural programming, Browne Art helps artists develop professional careers while connecting collectors with meaningful contemporary art. Her experience reviewing portfolios, curating exhibitions worldwide, and working directly with collectors provides artists with valuable insight into what galleries look for when selecting artists for representation.

Event Program

Hosted in the Imagine Museum Theatre, this professional development program combines an engaging presentation with interactive discussion and real-world examples drawn from gallery practice. Participants will examine successful artist careers and common challenges artists face when pursuing representation.

Throughout the evening, attendees will gain practical tools they can immediately apply to strengthen their artistic practice, improve their professional presentation, and better position themselves within today's contemporary art market. The program concludes with a Q&A and networking reception, giving artists the opportunity to ask career-specific questions and connect with fellow creatives.
