Fall Farm Camp

Kids Camp will begin with a morning Yoga class. This will be followed by a short walk to meet our hens in the hen house. We will feed, water, and collect eggs from the chicken coop to carton back up in the farm store. We'll gather in the farm store for a snack followed by a walk out to the garden for a chore or two; think weeding, seeding & watering. Depending on weather we may take this activity under cover and seed and/or water cell trays or harvest.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch under the old oak trees (provided by A Simpler Place). After lunch we'll work on a fun farm-centered craft which will reflect the current activities of the season.
All of the activities above will include instruction and information on caring for our chickens, growing and caring for our vegetable garden, demonstrate where our food comes from and how it is grown. The afternoon will feature an artistic experience from our resident artist, Painted Leaf Studio.
This is a mixed age camp for children 5-12. Please bring a yoga mat. Water will be provided throughout the day along with lunch and a snack. We apologize for any inconvenience but we are not able to accommodate any special food allergen or diet requests. We are an operating farmette with live animals, uneven grounds, and lots of open air.
*In the case of bad weather, we may cancel camp for the safety of the campers. Advanced notice and a full refund will be given.
