City of Temple Terrace 2nd Annual Chalk Festival

The City of Temple Terrace will host its 2nd Annual Chalk Festival, held in conjunction with the Temple Terrace Garden Club’s Spring Market. Watch the artists create their whimsical chalk designs and then shop the Market for a variety of plants, garden items, jewelry and crafts, all tucked under a canopy of old oaks. Plus food trucks and a delicious bake sale!

Chalk art is an art form dating back to 16th century Italy when artists traveled from town to town hoping their creations would entice spectators to throw a few coins their way. Chalk art all but disappeared in the early 1900s, but recently has experienced a resurgence. Chalk art festivals currently take place all over the country. We are excited to add Temple Terrace to that list!
Watch the artists' creations come to life as you shop select arts & crafts vendors, enjoy food truck fare and sip a brew or two from the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club while listening to live music. Want to get in on the fun? The City also will host an amateur chalk art competition for individuals or teams. There is a $50 entry fee (chalk provided). Prizes will be awarded. Interested?
