2025 Summer Camps at Bricks 4 Kidz Creativity Center
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
How many campers are in each camp?
We allow a maximum of 24 campers at our Creativity Center.
What ages are allowed to attend camps?
We allow ages 5-12 to attend full day camps, and ages 4 years/6months – 12 to attend half day camps.
How will my child be grouped at camp?
We separate campers by age group and skill level, and we have each group in different stations throughout the day. If you have multiple children/siblings/family members/friends and you would like them to build together, please let us know when you drop your child off on the first day of camp.
How many teachers run a Bricks 4 Kidz camp?
We have a 8:1 campers to teacher ratio.
Are the Bricks 4 Kidz teachers background checked?
Yes. All of our Bricks 4 Kidz camp lead teachers are background checked and trained and over the age of 18. In fact, the majority of our lead teachers are Hillsborough County Elementary School teachers during the school year, and join our Bricks 4 Kidz team for the summer.
What does a typical camp day look like?
Each week of camp is a different theme, and each day we do different types of activities. All of our Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® models are proprietary and can not be found in stores or online. You can only find them at Bricks 4 Kidz. We have a morning session from 9:00AM-12:00PM with a snack break around 10:30AM, and an afternoon session from 1:00PM-4:00PM with a snack break around 2:30PM. If you are a Full Day Camper, we break for lunch from 12:00PM-1:00PM. Each camp day, the children will create a mixture of LEGO® robots that move, LEGO® mosaic art, LEGO® 3D art, make arts and craft projects, play games, and be allowed to free play and make their own LEGO® creations.
Our camps are very structured, and all campers will use a set of instructions (similar to the the kind you find in a LEGO® set you purchase from the store), to create our Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® models. Our Master Builder Camp Leads will assist children if they need help with their LEGO® projects. Every camper is grouped by age and skill level and placed into one of three stations. Each station lasts approximately 40 minutes, and the campers rotate stations throughout the day. If you are a full day camper, the morning in completely different than the afternoon, so no child will ever build the same LEGO® model twice during a camp week.
Each day of the camp week will be different, and at the end of the camp week, every camper will take home prizes and get to create a custom LEGO® minifigure to take home. We also take pictures of the LEGO® creations the campers make and send them to each family at the end of the camp week so parents can see what their child created throughout the week. Bricks 4 Kidz does not use any photos for marketing purposes or any other way. We only share these photos with the parents whose child is in camp each week, and we send them in a private Shutterfly link that only those parents have access to.
Our goal at every camp is to make sure every camper has the best week of their summer with us. Along with creating LEGO® projects, we also encourage campers to meet new friends, explore their imaginations, be challenged by new ways to use LEGO® bricks, and most important, be safe and have FUN!
